Within the Augusta Community OOPS is working with the CSRA Task Force for at risk Kids.  Additionally, OOPS is working with the Augusta Judicial Juvenile Circuit and the Juvenile Court Judges to circumvent juvenile delinquents who are brought to court. OOPS is currently working with the Augusta State Medical Prison and Operation Choose Freedom in which participants of the OOPS program take a prison tour on the last day of the OOPS program  as a part of the end of the program. Most participants receive certificates of completion and are given the opportunity to become Youth Mentors of new and upcoming OOPS participants, either referred from juvenile court,schools, or youth referred by their parents. OOPS participate in several community initiatives; Take Back The Streets sponsored by radio personalities; "Fats and Cher", Sgt. Roundtree of the Richmond County Sheriff Dept. OOPS works with Dads In Action. OOPS will be working with the Richmond County Schools during  2008-09. Dates of Current OOPS  sessions: June 2-5, June 9-12, June 16 - 18, and June 23 - 26. July classes; July 1 -3, July 7 -10, July 14 - 17, July 21 - 24 and July 28 -31.These dates include Wed, Fri, and Saturday only. Time vary depending on age groups.
 
CURRENTLY, ..New classes  will begin June 5,2010 (Applications being accepted now).

1. OOPS  partnering with Gang Intervention Team and Devon Harris visiting area schools in Augusta-Richmond County, Columbia County, and other areas. 
1a. Starting in the Fall, Mr.Armstrong will conduct Wednesday, Thursday evening: OOPS for Parents-Orientation, an opportunity to educate and make parents familiar with the program and what benefits youth will get out of the program; 7pm to 9pm @ the Damascus Rd. location.Call 706-833-3731 for more information.
2. OOPS now listed on the United Way of the CSRA 211 Comprehensive Information and Referral Database and Augusta Dept of Juvenile Justice Referral Source.
 
3.  listen  to  OOPS Director, Henry Armstrong  and others talking about youth crime/violence, gang activity, intervention strategies, programs in the C.S.R.A.,on Helen Blocker's talk show on WKZK - Channel 103.7 FM and 1660 AM;
 from 7:30p to 9:00p every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
